I just realized how rediculous our family is.

For those of you who don't know, I will be starting the Advertising Program in January!

A few weekends ago, a lot of the group went to a place called Cinque Terra. It is probably just as cool as Minori and one of my other favorite places in the world. In Cinque Terra there are 5 cities in which you can walk/hike from one city to the next. It starts out on the street of love where thousands of people confess their love for another in a tunnel. So... we hiked to two cities in one day, went to a hostel and slept there, then hiked another one. We pretty much hiked a mountain getting from the 3rd to the 4th city, and then swam in the freezing Meditteranean at the end. It was beautiful though. Every part about it. In the middle of the hike I looked out and saw more of the ocean than I have ever seen before. It was gorgeous. Anyways, life here is quite different. I only have three weeks left in Siena before I head to Venice. I really miss being able to do my laundry, and driving in a car, and living in a place where I can speak to anyone and living in my own place. But in Italy I have seen the most amazing things that everybody should she because they are just breathtaking.

... Like the other day we went to the European Chocolate Festival. haha, not the most beautiful thing i've seen, but probably the most delicious. There was a cow made out of chocolate and a huge chess game with the pieces made out of chocolate, and there were tons of people there to try the chocolate. It was fun. Nutella is really big here. I don't know why it's not as much in the states.

Oh, and I have been taking a cooking class, so I will cook all of you some delicious Italian meals... some pasta from scratch, panna cotta, pizza, etc. Well... it all depends on how much money you wanna give me.... jk.

In Boca al Lupo...

...literally meaning "In the mouth of the wolf" or the Italian way to say good luck. Besides going to school every day and getting tons of art homework from Peter we get the awesome chance to travel around here in Italy. As of now, my favorite place in the whole world is a little town called Minori which is on the Almalfi coast. It is gorgeous! We stayed there for three days after walking frantically around Rome and it was a paradise. It is really picturesque with the mountains coming out of the water covered in little Italian homes, and the water is so clear that you can see 20 feet deep!

The picture of the boys is the contrada we saw marching on our first day in Siena. They just had the celebration for the winning of the Palio last week. Everybody was walking the streets very dressed up. The Porcupine was the winner of the first Palio and they had this huge feast and a live band, which I can hear clearly from my apartment. It's crazy because there is so much noise in the city every night. It's not a very big city first of all and there are always men chanting in the Piazza del Campo (which is the picture taken at night time), or there is loud music playing from who knows where. I wonder how it is for people who actually live within the historical walls.

Last Saturday we went to Lucca. It was yet another beautiful little town. There ended up being an antique market that day which filled the entire city, so we kind of got lost in that and then we rented bicycles! There is a city wall around the whole city and you can walk or ride bicycles on it! It was really fun and amazing to see the city from the wall. Getting home was a whole other story. We missed our first train and ended up running after every train after that... we missed them all. It must of been funny, or just interesting to see eight American girls chasing after trains. We made it home safe though, and had a lot of fun.
